Through its large windows in the livingroom you can enjoy the views of yachts and commercial fishing vessels in the harbour of Scheveningen. The apartment itself is beautifully designed and furnished to the highest standard, providing a luxurious and comfortable setting for your stay. Air conditioning provides coolness ensuring comfort in summer. It boasts 2 bedrooms suitable for 4 persons. For a fifth person a high quality folding bed can be provided upon request. The comfortable box spring beds ensure a good night's sleep. Each bedroom is equipped with a TV. Two modern bathrooms are present one having a shower, bath and a toilet, the second one being an ensuite with a shower. A seperate second toilet is located in the hallway.
The apartment includes essential amenities such as high-speed internet and a large SMART TV in the livingroom with the international sport channels. A fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal offering all contemporary conveniences and applicances. However as an alternative to cooking, the harbour of Scheveningen has many excellent restaurants that are only a couple of walking minutes away. There is also a seperate utility room with private laundry facilities, including a washer and a dryer. Guests have the benefit of a lovely balcony overlooking the yachts moored in the harbour. From the livingroom and the kitchen you also have views of the sea and the yachts going out sailing. Within walking distance, you'll find the beautiful beach, some of the finest local restaurants, a supermarket, and the 'world-renowned' local fish shop Simonis, with the best fresh fish in town. A leisurely stroll along the promenade takes you to the famous pier with the ferris wheel, and after sunset, you can put on your dancing shoes to enjoy the vibrant nightlife. During your stay, you can also explore one of the many cultural hotspots the city of The Hague has to offer, including world-class attractions like the Louwman car museum, miniature city Madurodam, Legoland and art museums like Escher in the Palace, Mauritshuis, and Voorlinden. The area
The 2nd harbour of Scheveningen, constructed around 1930, is connected via a narrow passageway known as 'the pipe' to the 1st harbour. In the surrounding area, many smokehouses and fishmongers settled. After the Second World War the importance of fishing gradually disappeared and the smaller vessels vanished. Since then the 2nd harbour has transformed into a recreational and tourist area, attracting visitors year-round. The harbor also has become a popular stop over for The Ocean Race, a yacht race around the world that takes place every three years. Scheveningen's Northern and Southern beaches, with the Southern beach being quieter and within walking distance from the apartment, have attained a Blue Flag certification, a European standard for clean and safe marinas and beaches. We dare to say that there is no place in Europe where visitors can find this unique blend of city culture and beach life within such a small space.
